New York City Farm Share FAQ
Q: Which Farm Shares are available in New York City?
A: We are so excited to be able to share the farm's harvest with our friends in the Big Apple! All of our seasonal, year-round, and specialty Farm Shares are currently available for NYC pickup and delivery except for the Sofra Shares.
Q: How will I receive my Farm Share?
A: You have two options available for receiving your farm share; home delivery or pickup. Click HERE to see a map of our NYC home delivery range and pickup locations.
- Home delivery: We offer home delivery throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. The delivery fee is the same as our Massachusetts deliveries; $10 per week per share. We are so grateful to our delivery partners at What Cheer Fruit and Produce for making this possible for us!
- Pickup: Our farm shares are currently available for pickup at one host site in Manhattan and two in Brooklyn, with additional pickup locations in the works!
Q: I've noticed the NYC farm shares are a bit more expensive than the equivalent shares offered for distribution in MA. Is that to cover the cost of freight to the Big Apple, or is it perhaps more to do with a certain Red Sox / Yankees rivalry?
A: Ha Ha, it's the freight! We've added a flat $5/week freight charge (regardless of whether you choose home delivery or pickup) to the price of the Farm Shares we're distributing to NYC this season, to cover the cost of refrigerated shipping from our farm in Sudbury, MA. Once again, we are so grateful to the team at What Cheer Fruit and Produce for taking care of this for us and enabling the farm to reach households and kitchens throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn at what we hope feels like a reasonable cost. Now, about those Yankees...
Q: When will I receive my Farm Share?
A: Our NYC Farm Shares will be delivered to homes and pickup locations each Monday during the summer and autumn, and each Thursday during the spring and winter. You will be sent an email reminder with pickup/delivery information and scheduling/timing details about two weeks before your CSA season begins.
Q: I'm an employer in NYC and am interested in offering your Employer Sponsored Farm Shares to my team. Is that an option here in Manhattan and Brooklyn?
