Inspired by our Old-Fashioned Carrot Pull volunteer days, we're excited to welcome you to the farm this autumn to join us in the simple, peaceful, and important task of splitting 2000+ lbs. of garlic bulbs into individual cloves for planting our two acres of 2027 garlic before the winter sets in.
As you settle in to some good old-fashioned garlic splittin' in our greenhouses, enjoy a garlic-themed brunch prepared by Chef Ana and the Oleana team, along with hot coffee and cold cider. The menu will feature Chef Ana's world-famous garlic soup (Farmer Chris' favorite meal?), fresh garlic focaccia, and more!
Like our Carrot Pull, this event is designed for all ages; we believe kids and grown-ups alike will make excellent garlic splitters. We'll have face painting, games, and a special reading from Farmer Chris of his favorite garlic passage to celebrate the occasion.
We’ll send you home with a BIG THANK YOU for your help, plus a little bag of seed garlic with planting instructions to help you start growing your own crop of Siena Farms' garlic. Come get your hands dirty, share some soup, and help us set next year’s harvest in motion!
