Roll up your sleeves, grab some gloves, and join us for our SWEETEST bulk harvest of the year. We'll send you home with a big bag of carrots, and a bushel full of gratitude.
With our two acres of fall carrots approaching their peak ripeness, we're getting ready to pull them in from the fields to enjoy all winter. We've learned that kids and grownups of all ages make GREAT carrot harvesters, and that coming together for this magical annual harvest day provides a really meaningful boost to the farm crew as we work through the next six weeks of "BULK SEASON" — harvesting and tucking away six months worth of storage crops before the snow flies! Dress in layers, head to the farm, and we'll train you in to the simple, lovely work of harvesting carrots.
We'll have plenty of cold cider, hot coffee, water, apples, (and carrots!) for snacking, PLUS — preorder your Carrot Pull Lunch Box!
Take a break from pulling carrots and enjoy a delicious, carrot-themed picnic lunch out in the fields, courtesy of our friends at Sofra Bakery & Cafe!
Carrot Pull Lunch Box Menu:
Carrot & Walnut Borek - halloumi cheese
Tahini hummus, carrot salad, hazelnut dukkah
Sofra Crick Cracks - homeade buttermilk crackers
Optional Add-On:
Carrot Cake - sesame caramel cream cheese frosting, halva
PLEASE NOTE: purchase of a Carrot Pull Lunch Box or Carrot Cake does not include a ticket to the Carrot Pull - nor vice versa. If you'd like a Lunch Box and/or Carrot Cake, make sure to add both your ticket(s) and Sofra goodies to your cart before check out. Lunch Boxes and Carrot Cakes are only available via pre-order - they will not be available for purchase at the Carrot Pull. Each Lunch Box will be enough food for one person.
At checkout, you will be required to select "Home Delivery" or "Store Pickup" at one of our CSA locations, as if you were purchasing a CSA Farm Share. Please just choose either option in order to proceed through checkout; your choice will not affect your reservation in any way. Receipt of your tickets and lunch boxes will be the order confirmation email you will receive upon completion of the checkout process. A follow-up email with parking and field directions will be sent to all ticket holders a few days prior to the Carrot Pull.
